RACE INFO
The
Downeast Adventure Race is an entry level multi-sport event that consists
of mountain biking, white water canoeing, sea kayaking, running, and team
challenges.
This 21 mile race is designed for 1st time racers and experienced racers
alike.
| When | Saturday May 5, 2012 starting at 10:00 am. Racers MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED THIS YEAR. Registration must be received by 5 pm, May 4, 2012. Early bird registration deadline of April 1, 2012. Teams must report to the race start by 9:00 am on race day. |
| Where | Start and finish at Washington County Community College Campus. WCCC is located in Calais, Maine and overlooks the historic and scenic St. Croix River which forms the International Border between the US and Canada. |

Biking 12.3 miles The course takes advantage of the unique terrain in Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge and the beautiful and historic St Croix River and estuary. See course map. |
| Categories | Team: 3 racers and 1 support person. All 3 racers must complete all legs of the race together staying within 50 feet of each other at all times. Relay: 4 racers and 1 support person. One racer from each team completes one leg of the race and hands off to the next racer to complete the next leg. Individual: 1 racer and 1 support person. One racer completes all legs of the race by himself / herself. |

| Entry Fee | $80 per team or relay team if registered by April 1. $100 per team if after. $30 per individual if registered by April 1. $40 per individual if after. |
| Proceeds | All Proceeds will go to help fund the WCCC Outdoor Adventure Center. |
